Jean Dinh Van is a French-Vietnamese designer who was born near Paris and attended Les Beaux Arts de Paris to learn to create fine jewelry.
He refined his vision, perfected his technique, and “fell in love with metal” during his decade-long association with Cartier. In fact, vintage “Dinh Van for Cartier” pieces fetch high prices at luxury auctions.
In the early 1960s, he left Cartier to focus on his own ideas of contemporary luxury and beauty filtered through the lens of fashion and culture. He took a real interest in everything happening, such as the off-the-peg creations by Paco Rabanne and Pierre Cardin.
His goal was to create beautiful jewelry that women could wear every day. Today, Dinh Van is well known in Europe for modern, minimalist, timeless designs.
We carry a large selection of Dinh Van and can secure any in-stock piece from Paris in a few days. Ask to see the Dinh Van “look book” when you visit Place Vendôme.
